I've just finished watching the first two episodes of this second season. The print to DVD transfer seems much cripser and cleaner, and the audio is much clearer (although still in mono).
The character dynamics are more dramatic than over with Sylvia's heavy hand in full force, and a new character Hillary adds a youthful charm to the team. If you liked the 1st season, it only gets better.

Loved this series when it first went out. Rather nervous that it would have dated badly. No need to worry, in the light of the current economic situation it seems almost topical.

I remember being very disappointed to hear the third series of Capital Series was not going ahead, but on re-watching I can understand why.

The financial story side to the series is still very good and still works well despite technologies and financial values advancing, however the character stories were always some what cringe worthy in their soap style. Problem is in this series, the financial stories have become less important and now it's more about the main characters itself, and here the show fails badly.

Watch if you remember it fondly first time round. Think about watching it if you came to it by watching the first series on DVD and really enjoyed it, else it's one worth avoiding. Shame really as the 1st series was so much better.
