Product Description

A new reissue in the Enja Jazz Classics mid-price series. Drummer Aldo Romano convened this meeting of his Italian Quartet - featuring four of the very finest Italian jazz musicians - for this 1992 recording (made in Tokyo, curiously...) paying homage to the Italian song tradition. 'The style is laid-back throughout, with Fresu alternating between softly-intoned open and Harmon-muted sounds and the rhythm team in perfect, tastefully balanced synch both behind him and in their own respective solo spots.' Elegant instrumental jazz covers of Italian folk songs 30 July 1999
By A Customer - Published on
Format: Audio CD
Another elegant late-night jazz album from the group that brought us "Non Dimenticar". While not as memorable as the latter, it still holds its own, despite the occasional choppiness of the piano parts.
