I had trouble getting hold of a pair of Canyoneers in my size, which, incidentally, to fit over neoprene socks had to be at least one size bigger than my normal size 6 ladies shoe-size. The ones I finally purchased turned up weeks after I had already bought another make. Having both in my possession enabled me to make a comparison and for my kayaking purposes the Canyoneers did not come out of the comparison so well. The ankle is well supported and the sole fairly rigid, but for kayaking, where the kayaker needs to be able to angle their foot to fit their sitting position in the boat, they are too inflexible to be comfortable.
