Not your avg hist romance 27 Sept. 2014
By L. Christensen - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
Solid 3.5 stars. The story was a little different and the main characters were solid. What didn't make it a four star story for me was the continued references to Quinn and Anna's pasts but the explanations were dragged out. It was a very complex story with a lot going on, so bits and pieces of their past trickling out didn't make for a smooth story.

It was definitely full of action but there were quite a few unrealistic scenarios. The bad guys are really bad. As in they did disgusting things to the people they robbed and murdered, taking way too much pleasure in it. There's a good lesson in forgiveness and letting go of the past.

We really enjoyed this book. It is obvious that the author has done her homework in researching the area. The characters are well developed and believable. Bravo!

Highly recommended! 8 Dec. 2000

Totally moving! This well-written story had me crying, smiling, and filled with terror at various times. I felt Anna's pain and terror and was sitting on the edge of my seat as Ned Hamby and his gang got closer to Anna's cabin intent on abusing her and killing her. I rejoiced as she overcame her fears and her singing was once again restored to her. I enjoyed this story and recommend it highly.

Gwyneth Atlee weaves yet another spell.... 2 Dec. 2000
By A Customer - Published on
Format: Mass Market Paperback
Within the majestic walls of an Arizona canyon, Gwyneth Atlee weaves an enticing spell of romance and suspense. In a voice that is as distinctive and precisely drawn as each of her characters, Ms. Atlee constructs a plot that draws from many levels of conflict and exposes the often complex and painful issues of the heart. Rendered in a fine and often lyrical writing style, this story keeps tension rising until the final page.
