a delightful book, chock full of vintage photos helping to explaining why my London parents & relatives loved Canvey Island for their week end breaks or holidays. There are even a couple of old photgraphs showing those Canvey Island buses that had wooden slatted seats. Buses that collected holiday makers from Benfleet Station. It was sad though seeing a photograph showing how patient our parents must have been, queueing for the bus for the beach.The book is very good value. Im forever picking it up and delving into it.
