This collection of first-class tracks by the inimitable MC Hammer (laterly just 'Hammer') is a must-have for any serious record collector.
His intelligent lyrics over an intricately woven fabric of beats and samples is a masterclass in MC-ing.
Don't forget that when these songs were written hip-hop was still in its infancy. When Hammer hit the scene with the classic 'U Can't Touch This' he sent shock waves through the music industry. Sure, rap music had been around for a decade or more but it had never hit such dizzy heights.
Only Elvis Presley, James Brown and Limahl from Kajagoogoo can claim to have had more influence on today's pop wannabes.
War, famine, suffering. What the world is crying out for now is a new Hammer album to ease the pain.

Listen up, you need to buy this album. This is everything that you need to know about Hammer. Let's not forget that Hammer invented baggy trousers too - now all Hip Hop artists wear them. This album is exactly where Hip Hop should be at the moment. The truely great Hip Hop artists are the ones that 'keep it real' and do their Hip Hop like a block party, like The Fat Boys, Hammer, Snow and Sir Mix A Lot (Baby Got Back!). Let's get Hip Hop back to where it should be, so make sure you do your bit and pick up this timeless classic. HAMMER TIME!

MC Hammer the hits. this album should have the same name as the first one. it seems to be a copy of the album please don't hurt 'em hammer. except for a few tracks that come from soundtracks. it has his trade mark funk. with a good mix of dance and hip hop. sampling from artists that landed him in trouble like prince, james brown and rick james.

MC Hammer - if like me ur a child of the 80's U'll know at least 3 - 4 tracks on this CD, i would buy the 1's u know though off a Mp3 download its a good album, just not great

I have always loved the MC but when this came out I just went crazy. For years I had waited for another Hammer Cd to come out and here it is. When I bought it I couldnt stop dancing, it was audacious. I just placed on my cap and shades and went cruising down town in my car. So many people just glanced over at me, I just knew they thought that I was cool and wanted to be me. Oh and by the way, did I ever tell you about the time my great uncle Rodderick drowned in the Uggo river? ......... Oh good cos its rather embarrasing.
