This album truly is amazing, it may be a little rough around the edges and it may not be anywhere near the style of the current line up of Saves the Day but it is amazing.
I was listening to Saves the Day before 'Stay What You Are' came out, and of all the albums they've released (the present one included) this is my favorite. It may be different musically but the emotion of Chris Conley still shines through, albeit in a slightly harder way. The lyrics are also just as good as the lyrics from the current album, but the style of music on this album is quite a bit harder, but in a good way.
If you want to check out how Saves the Day used to sound or you just want a really great album then pick this up, if you've only heard the two new albums then make sure you go in with an open mind (unlike the reviewer below) or try and think of them as a whole other band (as they basically were back then). If you like bands like The Movielife, The Ataris, Rufio, Alkaline Trio or any of those sorts of bands then pick this up (this is less poppy than most of those though).
This is one of only a few albums i own where i can listen to it all the way through and not want to skip any song. The best song is 'Blindfolded', with 'Three Miles Down', 'Jodie' and 'Sometimes, New Jersey' being other great ones, but they're all great, so buy it now!
