5.0 out of 5 stars Really Useful Stuff Here 4 Jun 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I've read a few books on aspects of being an indie author and this is one of the better ones. Sean and Dan Campbell have managed a great feat in writing and producing a novel in 90 days, and here they tell some of the things they learned along the way.

This is not a 'how to write a novel' guide, rather a 'what do to with it when you've finished the first draft' guide. They already assume you know how to write - and there's a deluge of books about that, but this is more to do with the nitty gritty of marketing and selling of your indie ebook. There are lots of good tips about marketing, using Twitter and finding your readership and I'll be using some of them in the next few weeks!

The guys are well trained in aspects of business and they apply some of the theories here. What I also liked is that this is written from a British perspective, it has a down to earth tone and gets to the point. It is very clearly written and not a typo in sight!

5.0 out of 5 stars The must-read book for authors 14 July 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I have read many books about writing and marketing your book and have to say this is one of my favourites. Written in a personable manor that instantly engaged me and with just the right blend of interesting facts and statistics along with lots of great advice for authors. Sean and Daniel Campbell have clearly put a lot of research into this book and generously share their experiences as they wrote their first novel in just 90 days. (Dead on Demand is the title of their novel and it is superb).
I have been self publishing books since 2009 and still found so many fabulous gems of advice in this book, many sections had me nodding my head in agreement and reaching for a pen to scribble hot tips into my notepad. This book is always the first one I recommend to writers looking for advice on how to finish their book and see it reach its full potential.

5.0 out of 5 stars Head & Shoulders above the rest. 1 Jun 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This isn't just another 'how to sell your indie book' guide. These guys have been there, done that and got the whole three piece suit, with a matching tie.

This information is based on the Campbell brothers' own experience of indie publishing and marketing, and they've obviously also researched their subject thoroughly. The easy informal style in which this is written is complemented by some very interesting and useful statistics, which will help individuals make informed decisions on how best to market their new ebook. Because whilst it's a great achievement to actually get your 'baby' out there, writing 'The End' is only the beginning.

But you needn't take my word for it, Sean & Dan are authors themselves, and very supportive of the whole indie community. True to form, they're planning to make this informative and easy to follow little number available free on the first day of every month. That's how they roll.
