I am using it together with a Canon 5D MK3 and its quite easy to edit both together. Stabiliser is excellent and the zoom reaches far with only one stop of light difference. 5 configurable buttons help a professional use. Touchscreen is very responsive, two card slots for parallel or very long recordings. I can recommend this camcorder.

This product has a serious problem with it's hardware which results in it being unable to cope with camera flashes going off. Search YouTube for "Canon XA20 Problem" and you'll see examples of what I mean. I used this for a wedding and the footage was ruined by horizontal banding caused by camera flashes going off throughout the day, I am NOT talking about the effect a flash makes on the footage because of the way a CMOS sensor works as some people have tried to say. When flashes go off in the scene the camera displays almost like vibration lines going up and down the footage which is completely unacceptable as the CANON XA10 never had this issue.

YES, it is better than the XA10 when it comes to image & sound improvements but only deserves 1 star for the fact it clearly suffers from some kind of internal mess up which means it can't cope with flashes making it utterly useless for events and weddings where flashes will be going off.

I contacted Canon and even sent the unit back to them but they were unable to properly resolve the issue, they just recommended I tried a higher shutter speed like 1/125th and said the problem is happening because of the way the hardware works inside the camera.

INCREDIBLY DISSAPOINTING
