Like the other reviewers I much prefer a wrist strap to a neck one, and I wanted as strong a one as possible; as much to help prevent anyone trying to snatch the camera from me as to stop it falling to the ground should I accidentally drop it.
I didn't like the idea of straps with a plastic quick-release attachment (seems like a point of weakness) or those made of neoprene.
This seemed the strongest strap being made of nylon so I bought it; even though it is at a higher price. (Not shown on the picture on this page it has the Canon brand name in quite large letters on one side of the strap.)
The attachment to the camera is very secure; though you have to work out how to attach it, there's no instructions; it's not difficult, but requires thinking through, though if you've attached other types of straps it should be straightforward.
Once attached I found the loop you fit you hand through quite large (I have small hands) so added a home sewn loop of elasticised nylon around the wrist loop to help tighten it around my wrist. (A thick rubber band would serve as well at a pinch.)
Looked after well I expect to be using this strap for several years, both on my current Canon SX20is and any future DSLR upgrade. I'm very happy I bought this, it's well made.
