Well I have to say that I am not an expert in photography. I bought a Speedlite flash as all the write ups say they are excellent. Having bought one I then needed a good set of instructions that could help me get the best from my new 'gadget'. This book definitely fits the bill. It is very well written (even amateurs like me can follow it easily). It has given me a great insight in to how to get the best from this flash. The author brings in new information in a well structured way which builds on the previous chapters. I've enjoyed reading it and found it has improved my understanding and use of the Speedlite flash system on by leaps and bounds. Highly recommended.

To the point, deals with my present flash guns and future ones if I stay with speedlite's.

Would recommend to a friend.
It brings additional clarity when read in conjunction with Canon camera and Canon flash manual.

A really good, very helpful guide, easy to use as a reference guide, no need to read from cover to cover, you can just pick out the relevant passages you need.

It is very comprehensive and easy to understand with good illustrations. It would have been helpful to include a little more on its use in Natural History photography with examples.
