The Canon Speedlite 320EX is an exceptionally easy to use flash gun and provides excellent results. I had no trouble in connecting it to my Canon 550D camera and had it up and running in new time at all. Very impressed!!

I needed a Canon speed lite to photograph my daughter's wedding however I didn't need all the features of all the higher end models. This unit also has the advantage of a high power LED light for use in videography. As the flah unit uses e-ttl communication from the camera to the flash unit there is no set up required apart from just installing the batteries (AA) and turning on the unit. The results were as expected from a quality Canon unit and the video light has been quite useful for filming indoors with my video camera.

Works so much better than the onboard flash on my old 400d, shots are so much better in low light, thou i would say get a flash defuser as well.

The unit doesn't have a focus assist beam for low light. Ii think this is the only canon unit that doesn't have it.
I am not sure what the LED is for, it is too small to be really useful. If you want the Canons get the 430/580. If yo can do without get the Yongnuo.

BUY the ones that support ETTL - that means that the camera will tell the flash what settings it needs to use - they are just as good and cost a lot less. It must be ETTL unless you want slave flashes you have to set manually

Really good dedicated flash that takes the mystery out of using a flash. Plus good modelling procedures with remote firing.

Canon user for over 20 years I expected this product to be of the standard I have come to expect. So far so good, no indication that it will be anything other than excellent. You pay the price (although buying from this supplier seemed v competitive), and you know what you'll get. The LED intended for video illumination provides reasonable illumination for photos too, although some experimentation with distance/even coverage is needed. Should last for years, just like my old 430EZ.
