5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent photo printer 17 Jan 2006
By A Customer
I decided to go for this after seeing a few media reviews. It is compact and easy to operate. Turn it on, turn your camera on and press the print button on your camera. The 'ink' is loaded via a cassette into the printer, as is the paper. No mess and no fuss. Printing of an image takes under a minute. The finished photo quality is excellent. I defy anyone to spot the difference between my print and one from a developer. If you want an easy to use compact printer that gives excellent quality 6x4 prints, look no further. Oh, and don`t worry about losing the USB lead, it`s built into the printer and is retractable.

5.0 out of 5 stars My Canon Selphy 8 Feb 2006
By A Customer
My Dad bought me this wonderfull machine for christmas, and i have not stopped using it since. It's absolutely incredible, the quality of my photo printouts is incredible. I did not ever presume that such a small and reasonably priced printer could do such a good job.
I would recomend this Canon to anyone from amateur to profesional.
It realy is good.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent prints 27 Dec 2005

This is a great compact printer giving excellent results. I went for this as I didn't want a scanner, printer, fax, copier all half good, but I wanted real quality pictures in a simple small unit, and the Canon delivers.

5.0 out of 5 stars brilliant selphy 27 Nov 2006
Saw positive reviews and I agree with them. Very small and portable with very good results. Worked with my minolta and kodak camera using the usb port on the side of the printer. People who have seen it want one also.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little Printer 4 Aug 2008

I got this printer as i was fed up having loads of photos on my hard drive and wanted a photo album of the best ones . I was very impressed with this printer , prints just as good as the photo shop , the idea of the cartridge only doing 36 prints then throw away is great , no more running out of colour half way through a print like normal printers . I got the box of 3 cartridges and 108 sheets of paper for under £18 ( on amazon )to go with it and it works out less than 17p a photo . Oh and the photos are coated so they dont fade which is great. Done over 40 prints so far , no probs , recommended bargain

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good printer for the price. 27 Oct 2009
By Peter Coupe TOP 500 REVIEWER VINE™ VOICE
This is a very neat and quick(ish) photo printer, that gives really professional looking results. It uses the 'dye-sub' printing technique, not ink jet, so the results come out of the printer dry, and also coated with a thin film of protective plastic! The colors are very lively and the images do look like they have just come from a photo lab.
It's a little bit of a fiddle to set up, as you have to load the paper in the tray and then put this into the slot provided. It's not that big a deal, but I can imagine some people losing the tray!
Once it is assembled it seems to run smoothly with Windows XP, though I understand some people are having problems with Windows Vista. I don't know anyone who has used it with a Mac or Windows 7 so I can't comment.
The direct to camera USB link works well, and I have used it with a variety of cameras with complete success.
If you're looking for a easy printer, remembering the limited size of the output (postcard 6" x 4") then this one is well worth the money.

3.0 out of 5 stars Vista users beware 6 Jan 2008
I bought CP510 and tried to install the softwear on to Vista OS, could not get link from computor to printer, down loaded driver for Vista from Canon site, what a mess this site is, still did not run. Tried other ways to get the printer to run, no good. Installed every thing on XP OS worked first time. supper little printer, good quality prints

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Value 13 Jan 2012

For the price, this neat little printer has outstanding photo quality.

I uploaded some very old pictures from a negative reader and once I'd finished patching them up in photoshop, the photographs were, in my opinion, excellent.

With affordable ink and paper, you won't be disappointed with this purchase.
