Bought the Canon ip1600 after reading various other reviews about the millions of printers available online and in local shops. Having used Amazon before, I thought id give them a go and I was'nt disappointed with the service recieved.The printer and spare cartridges(purchased at the same time)arrived less than a week after the order was placed.You need to purchase a usb cable seperately as it comes without. Its very easy to install, and it prints very quick on text and isnt a slouch either when printing pictures in fine print. It could be described as a disposable printer cos £30 odd quid for printer and cartridges opposed to almost the same for spare cartridges makes it an affordable choice for those who have kids that want school stuff printed to a good standard and doesnt burn a hole in your pocket.I'll add a further review when i've had it a while and let you know longer term how it fares.

As a student, i wanted a printer of which i could print out word documents and pages from the internet, aswell as the occasional photo without breaking the bank. The Canon Pixma iP1600 ticked all those boxes. It was extremely easy to set up, just plug it in, follow the onscreen instructions and you're done, the printer is ready and software is loaded. The accompanying software is brilliant...photos are so easy to print, its just like using a photo kiosk in a chemist! Canon Easy-WebPrint makes it extremely easy to print from the internet with a click of a button.
Although the product was slightly larger than i wanted, it was so light-weight that transporting and moving it about was no problem. Also note that the product does not include a paper tray or usb cable, but for the price I can't complain!
Overall if you're looking for a printer for the same uses as i was, choose this one, its great value for money!

Fantastic printer, superb, easy to use software,including many tools. prints great doccuments fast, pictures are printed as good as photo lab, many options.
