Document print speeds are a useful 11.0 IPM* in black and white or 9.3 IPM* in colour. A high quality borderless 10x15cm photo-lab quality print is delivered in just 20 seconds so you can instantly and conveniently share those special moments with family and friends. Two-way paper feeding means different types of paper can be loaded at the same time for convenient printing of documents or photos – the printer will know which to choose. You can even print directly onto a CD to help archive data or personalise your music collection.

Automatic correction to make every print perfect

Based on Canon’s market-leading intelligent camera technology, Auto Photo Fix II will automatically analyse and correct your photos at the printer, removing any red-eye and making adjustments to compensate for the photographer, camera or lighting limitations. It will automatically recognise the lighting conditions when the photo was taken and will, for example, brighten faces that are backlit and under-exposed to ensure more accurate skin tones or remove any colour cast to give clear, true colour photos. The result? Perfect prints every time without the need for a computer.

Intelligent auto-correction doesn’t stop with your photos. Through Auto Document Fix technology, your printer enhances text, graphics and images in scanned documents making them clearer, more vivid and more impactful.

Exclusive to Canon, Easy-PhotoPrint EX is the fast and easy way to re-touch your digital photos and print them in a choice of size and layouts either directly within the software or from Adobe® Photoshop® with the supplied Easy-PhotoPrint EX plug-in. The Correct and Enhance button adds advanced photo correction and enhancement using the same simple interface. The lab-quality re-touching features available include: red eye correction, smooth facial lines and skin tone, face brightener, face sharpener and blemish remover.

The intuitive on-screen display helps you choose to print your selection in whichever format you require from normal photos to calendars. The software also features a direct link to Flickr where you can search and download publicly available images to supplement your own. Through Easy-PhotoPrint you can access the Full HD Movie print function, enabling you to capture your favourite home movie moments on photo-lab quality stills.

FREE Easy-WebPrint EX software offers a range of options to help you organise the information you want to print from the internet and avoid wasting paper. These include:

You can keep your precious photos bright and vibrant with the Canon ChromaLife100+ system. This unique combination of enhanced FINE print head technology and genuine Canon Chromalife 100+ inks with selected Canon photo papers lets you create beautiful photos that will last up to 300 years when stored in an archival-quality photo album.

To achieve exceptional print resolution, Canon Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering (FINE) uses a patented print head with high precision nozzles, ejecting ink droplets as small as 1 picolitre in size (the smaller the ink drop the better quality the image).

Compact and tidy

Both the Power cable and USB port are recessed inside the compact, stylish printer body so you can push the machine right back against the wall – saving space and keeping everything neat and tidy.

*Printing speeds explained:

Canon measures its printing speeds in IPM (Images Per Minute). IPM is a new ISO speed testing standard, approved by the International Standards Organisation in March 2009.

PPM (Page Per Minute), used by some manufacturers, is not a standard for inkjet printers. Every printer manufacturer has their own ‘test pages’ that are used to test speed and give vastly different results. The new ISO standard sets standardised ‘test pages’ that are to be used by any manufacturer measuring their speed in IPM, allowing comparable results across inkjet brands.
