Obviously the whole layout etc is different from my Epson, but you get used to what you have.
The wireless set-up via the software CD was fine. I simply let the CD do it's thing, followed the instructions and hey presto I was up and running within 15-20 mins.
Wireless printing is mega-convenient ! (There's also a remote-print facility too).
The first item printed ( apart from the test print ), was actually a 59 page document for my wife! ( this is not it's usual use !! ) The printing action wasn't excessively noisy at all...definitely quieter than my old one...and from the start the print quality on each and every page was absolutely fine. It has used most of the black ink cartridge (so the software indicates) and about a fifth or so of the colour. However, these are the ink cartridges supplied with the printer, so it's hard to say whether the ink performance is actually good or bad at this stage....I'll update this review once the cartridges have been replaced.
All in all though, I like this unit very much...and for the money, perfect for general home use. I've read some reviews from dissatisfied buyers....who obviously expect blood from a cheaper-end printer. For heavens sake, get over yourselves!
I'd easily recommend this device. For the money, it deserves 5 stars.
Ok, it doesn't have an LCD counter. Nor does it wake you up in the morning and make the tea...so if you want bells and whistles...buy something else.
I am sick of being told it has run out of ink when it hasn't.
I only bought this because of the promise of the (intermittently working) AirPrint functionality and because I was - incorrectly it seems - told that Canon printer inks were a lot cheaper than other makes. There are better printers on the market for a similar price to this - I would strongly recommend you buy one of them.

My printer was bought just over a year ago. It now has the B200 error code, which I cannot clear, and the printer utility does not work. Read morePublished 6 months ago by quixically
