Canon MP101 Matte Photo Paper, A4, 170GSM, 50 Sheets
I have used this paper for six years since finding that the Epson version was not easily available in my part of Greece. I have used it with various Epson Printers (R1200, R300 and currently R285) and have always found that it is fully compatible. None of the pictures that I have printed, over this period, using this paper with Epson compatible (not original) inks have shown any signs of fading despite the high intensity of the Greek sunlight. I use this paper regularly to produce personalised birthday and Christmas cards, neither of which are really a part of Greek culture. While unable to comment on its performance with the high-end, professional, Epson printers I have no hesitation in recommending this paper for use by serious photographers whose priority will always be resolution, stability and colour accuracy. (and persuading their subjects to sit still and stop pulling that silly face)

I got this paper just to try out matte photos.
The paper is white on the photo side and a creamy colour on the non photo side.
It seems more like card than paper and could probably be used for greetings cards.
I have printed photos on this paper using a Canon printer (ip4200)and an Epson Photo printer (R285) - when printing in the highest photo quality mode the results are very pleasing. (I use compatible inks only - not manufacturers)
I would recommend this product if you have a photo printer and want quality matte photos.

I think the general idea is that you should always buy paper that is the same brand as your printer. I think printer manufacturers "optimise" their paper to work best with their own printers. So, once I had bought my Canon inkjet printer I had no choice but to buy this paper.
The results were very impressive, and I would highly recommend this paper if you have a canon printer.
I also tried my printer with some Kodak Premium Photo Gloss paper which I picked up in a sale in WHSmith. This Canon paper gave far better results.

Want the best get the best
My canon printer produces beautiful pictures and there even better with canon matt photo paper. Using inferior paper may be cheaper but its not worth wasting so much ink.
