There is not a great deal that can be said here, The hood is solid and well made, it fits well onto the appropriate lens and does exactly what it is meant to.

Amazon Verified Purchase
By buying a genuine Canon part you know you are getting quality. It fits very snugly and does the job as it is supposed to. It is expensive for what it is, but if you want the best you have to pay for it.
Fits perfectly, does the job, but careful if you ever need the onboard flash, as you will get a slight shadow effect as the hood blocks the flash. Nice velvet type finish on the inside of the hood, but at the end of the day, its too pricey for a piece of plastic (hence the 4 stars instead of 5).

Perfect
A lens hood that prevents eccessive flare and protects the lens from accidental bumps. Worth buying it and keeping it on all the time!
