Ordered this lens last week from Simply Electronics. Arrived wihin three days. An amateur, but not a beginner. I have now taken in excess of 100 shots with this lens. Really superior to the kit lens with EOS 100D. Light in weight, but does not feel fragile. IS is very useful at 250mm.
AF is quick and responsive to scene. The detail and colour balance produced by this lens is excellent. It certainly is not an expensive lens - but the performance far outweighs the cost.
I am a very delighted amateur. Recommend the lens and Simply Electronics.

Amazon Verified Purchase
I have been using the lens with a Canon EOS D550 for more than one month and I am impressed with the quality of the photos. I haven't spotted anything that would bother me; so, from my perspective, it is a fantastic product.

I got this lens for my Canon 550d. I already have the 18mm-135mm and a 50mm lens so I thought this would be a nice focal length to add to my collection. This is a great lens and the image stabiliser is fantastic. Yes its a cheapish lens but produces the goods and can be honest in saying I am very happy with it. Go on buy it!!
I took this on holiday to Egypt and can honestly say the resulting photographs were fantastic. The definition was razor sharp and this has convinced me that i made the right purchase.

Canon telephoto IS lens 55-250 f/4-5.6
I've always been a canon fan and this lens is excellent value for the price. Incidentally, I took a few handheld pictures of the moon and the stabilisation worked brilliantly.

Very Good Quality for the Price
For the price the lens produced very good quality photos. With it being a plastic case the lens is light once attached.
