Capable of a stunning 4 megapixels resolution, the pocket-sized IXUS i is a camera that you can take anywhere, slipping easily into a pocket or handbag. Compulsive snappers will be delighted to find that the camera features a Quick Shot function to remove the lag time between pressing the button and the camera taking the picture. This is a real boon for capturing those spur of the moment pictures that can sometimes be missed while waiting for other digital cameras to get their act together.
The small size of the IXUS i doesn't come at the expense of picture quality. A high quality Canon lens, along with 5-point Artificially Intelligent Auto Focus (AiAF) ensures your pictures are perfectly focussed even when your subject is off-centre. To help you get a little closer there's also a 5.7x digital zoom function.
Canon's iSAPS (Intelligent Scene Analysis based on Photographic Space) technology is also included. This constantly analyses the scene and makes adjustments to deliver perfectly exposed, in-focus shots even before the shutter is pressed. With plenty of processing power at hand, the IXUS i also provides fast, accurate and precise colour rendition and white balance, all without the need for unnecessary fiddling, using its purpose-built DIGIC (Digital Imaging Core).
Other features include recording of up to three minutes of video and sound. This can be played back immediately on the camera's viewfinder or transferred to your computer and emailed to friends. PictBridge support means that printing is easy too, even without a PC, using any PictBridge compatible printer.

I bought this camera 6 months ago and i thought that it was one of the best digital cameras i have bought. i have been through many digital cameras in my time, whichare all paid through my bsiness, and none of them have come up to standard with this one. The Canon Ixus I Digital camera , Pearl White has great ability. Its pictures, are perfect, when i blew them up on my computer to see what the pixelation was like, i could not get it big enough so that it started to pixelate....so very good on that point. The focusing, what can i say, is incedible! The battery lasted absolutely ages, i took it out on New Years Eve, started partying and using it at 6PM and then the next day, i was still using it late at night. Overall this is an awesome camera and i would recommend it to anyone who has the mind to buy any camera...it was worth every penny!

This is the first digital camera I've owned although I've borrowed my father's nikon coolpix on several occasions.If you want an amazing looking tiny camera that takes excellent photos, is easy to use and everyone tries to borrow, then this is the one for you. Even the movie mode is great.
