My battery was also supplied by a third part 'buyacamera' but 'fulfilled by amazon'. Turned up quickly direct form Amazon in a clear plastic bag. Being fulfilled by Amazon and having checked the Canon website I am satisfied it is an original battery. It also matches the one that came with my camera. Very very happy with it for more than half the price of getting it from Canon. Battery performs superbly as it should. Make sure when buying it is from a reputable trader or better yet fulfilled by Amazon. Any doubts egt in contact with Amazon and arrange a replacement/refund!

I ordered this as sold by 'buyacamera' but fulfilled by Amazon. I was therefor happy that I would be receiving the genuine article, but if buying form a third party seller which isn't fulfilled by Amazon then caution I would imagine is needed. Battery came in a clear plastic bag and matches the genuine one I received with my s95 perfectly. I am satisfied I have a genuine one at a price which matches the likes of energizer etc so I am very very happy. A spare battery is a must for any camera. Cannot recommend this highly enough but cannot stress enough the need to make sure you are getting or have a genuine one.
For that matter Canon have a way to check your battery on their website if you are in doubt. Otherwise check the thrid party seller feedback or make sure it is form Amazon or fulfilled by Amazon.
Immensely happy with the price and product but it would appear a minefield making sure you have a genuine one. If you do end up with a fake contact Amaozn immediately so that they can take action and make sure you apply for a refund.

... what more can be said but its an original canon battery and it works as it should. Bit pricey but experience with OEM batteries makes it a bit of a lottery so decided to pay full whack and get an original.
