Received this just a couple of days before my trip to South Africa so no time to test it but needn't have worried. Canon branded and fully compatible with my new new cam-corder. Worked like a dream and I managed to use both batteries in rotation keeping them charged overnight, so no problems and well worth the extra money for that piece of mind of not "going flat" when you're miles from a charger!

After walking around most of the camera shops in the High Peak area of Derbyshire i stopped and asked myself why the heck i didn't just go straight to Amazon in the first place.Besides being able to get the battery with no problem whatsoever it was also very much cheaper.Thank you Amazon.

I was looking for a spare canon battery for my Hg20 camcorder. I did come across plenty of non branded battery packs at less than half the price. But when you have spent £450 for your camcorder you don't settle for second best it is worth paying the extra for the original product where you have that extra peace of mind that the battery is not going to leak or even worse blow up. Arrived on time within 3-5 working days free delivery with email updates, and the product works fine with 'battery remaining time' displayed whilst recording.
