If like me with the arrival of DSLR cameras you've gone nuts and snapped pretty much anything that has got in your way then you'll know about running out of power at a crucial moment and losing the best shot of the day because of a flat battery. Simple answer, buy another. The Canon NB-2LH fits my EOS-350D perfectly and is also designed to be fitted into the BG-E3 Battery Grip for the EOS 350/400D. My advice, don't risk it, buy another battery.
I've given this item four stars rather than five because of the price - some compatibles are cheaper but may not perform as well.

Yes this is definitely a battery, it allows me to operate my Canon EOS 350D and it lasts a good length of time on a charge.
I bought this as an extra to go into my Canon BG-E3 Battery Grip For EOS 350D & 400D for double shooting time and it works very well indeed. Between the two batteries I can shoot like a posessed person for quite some time, filling several SanDisk Extreme III CompactFlash 2GB Memory Cards (I have not actually timed it for an average charge life, but it honestly is a good length of time) before having to pop in for a pit-stop.
This has been re-charged countless times over the past year or so (I have shot around 35,000 images in this time) and is not showing any signs of burning out yet.
A good functioning, lasting battery. I usually go for named brands for these type of accessories, for no reason other than my own perceived piece of mind.

What more needs to be said - proper Canon battery packs for the Eos 400D digital SLR. I had some 3rd party packs which lost the ability to take a charge within a year whilst the original pack that came with the camera is still taking 100% charge.

Canon Batteries
I have been using Canon Kit since the late 70s and their Batteries are at least as good as any "own brand" replacements from other manufacturers. Notice I don't say "better than".
