I feel quite stupid trying to write a review for this album. What can I say? This one is one of my favourite albums of alltime, this is magic. And this is one is not just music for me, it's live in it's most simpliest and loveliest form, like bread and butter. If any music should have a stamp of "home-made", this one should have it. (Though this one is recorded in a studio )
Great bluesy country recordings played with great skill of finger-picking and a soft gentle voice. This one is like visiting your late grandfather for a milk and cookies or something. Though John Hurt was in his 30's while recording these tracks, there's some sort of aura of agelessness and wisdom beyond years.

Its a very good album, if your into blues then i suggest you buy it, the fingerpicking style is very simple but very hard to play it how Hurts plays it. You cant go wrong with this album, have fun listening to it!

(REAL NAME)   
John Hurt was a master of his art. Unlike some of his contemporaries, this isn't rough and raw. His playing is tender, gentle and mature. Hurt's fingerpicking style and the quality of the recording process make this a lot easier on the ear than many of the more basic recordings of many, but it's still pure, unadultared blues.
