5.0 out of 5 stars classic wit in wicked rhyme, 14 Dec 2001
By A Customer
From the ditties about animals that my children like so much to the shrewdly observed tidbits of social commmentary, this book of verse is: FUN. This one is a family favourite. Nash's wonderful use/abuse of language and his sideways perspective make his pieces appealing and memorable -- bits of Nash infiltrate dinner conversation. Good for giggles. Irresistable to read aloud. I keep buying copies for friends...

4.0 out of 5 stars Well Selected and Presented Collection, 25 Oct 2001
By A Customer
A Generous and well presented selection of Nash's Poetry amply displaying all of the irreverent, sparkling humour, laced with those little shots of pathos that stop his work becoming shallow or merely eccentric. A good way to discover poetry and find that it can be FUN!

5.0 out of 5 stars 1st review, 12 Jun 2009
By Budda (Livertpool, England) - See all my reviews
My husband and I have always enjoyed the works of Ogden Nash. I bought this book as a surprise for him when he came out of hospital. It certainly kept him amused for the two weeks he was away from the golf course. The only drawback was that he kept laughing and insisting on reading parts of it to me, when I was concentrating on something else.
