The duet with Liz Fraser is a tingling sensation. The original was sumptuous, the rework is velvety-lovely. Good strings, as McCulloch has always put in his best songs.

Some years ago I owned a copy of Candleland but it went astray, so to have it again plus extra is superb.

Remastered and Together At Last! 9 Jun. 2007
By DStap456 - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
These two pieces from Ian Mcculloch have finally been remastered and packaged together. Both of these cds have been like old friends that I have visited frequently over the years. I can put them on and not skip a track, they are great. The remastering brings up the songs to whole new level. If you enjoyed the Bunnymen remasters, these are just as good. Pick this up while it is still available.
A significant improvement over originals 16 Nov. 2010
By M. Albert - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD Verified Purchase
These two albums put together and remastered are like the Reese's peanut butter cup commercials from my youth (don't do the math): two great tastes that taste great together! I always thought that while the songs on both releases were wonderful (who doesn't fall in love with Mac just a little more every time one hears "Candleland"???) but sounded muffled and muted. The remaster takes care of that and brings the songs to another level worthy of the treatment it received. The bonus tracks always make me jump up and down, squeal and clap my hands, and while they're not difficult to come by, they also get the remaster extreme makeover: cd edition. This is VERY hard to find, so grab it when/ if you can (I waited a long time to get my copy and wasn't disappointed even though it wasn't cheap). Another option is to beg a friend from the UK to download it from amazon.co.uk and send it to you because you can't download it from the US, and believe me, I tried. I will be listening to this for a long time, it's that dreamy and then some.
