Book Description

11 Dec 2005
Microevolution explains what cancer is, how it develops and how to eradicate it. Cancer occurs in multi-celled organisms when cells escape the body's controls and behave like their single-celled ancestors. Such changes, triggered by oxidative damage, result in faulty cell division. Animals and plants have developed ways to stop their cells reverting to primitive forms. Hence, anticancer substances are common throughout nature. Therapies based on these take advantage of metabolic differences between cancer cells and healthy cells, to destroy cancer while helping healthy cells. Clinical trials are needed to test such non-toxic therapies. Biological research suggests that cancer is a treatable condition. Although current data is not sufficient to indicate the degree of life extension achievable, many terminal patients might die of other causes, before the cancer kills them. Cancer patients deserve to be offered this opportunity.

4.0 out of 5 stars The science of cancer and vitamin C. 9 Dec 2011
By j4zm1n
Format:Paperback
I found this book very intriguing to read. It's quite a 'heavy' book for people who aren't familiar with science and scientific terms and almost makes you feel like a science student. However, the author goes to great lengths to explain everything in detail and, by perservering with such text, it becomes less 'foreign' and you are able to understand the basis of the book. It makes a very convincing case for the use of Vitamin C, in combination with other important nutrients, in the treatment of cancer. It also gives a plausible explanation as to why this treatment has been hidden from the general public.
If you want to know the scientific back-ground on cancer, then this book is for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cancer Can Be Simple 9 Feb 2006
By Reagan Houston - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
Dr. Hickey points out that essentially all advanced cancers use mostly glucose as food and they use much glucose. This is both an advantage and a disadvantage. Moderate amounts of glucose make cancers grow faster. The advantage for cancer patients is that vitamin C in large but safe doses acts similar to glucose. The vitamin C is taken into the cancer cells where it reacts and forms hydrogen peroxide, a strong oxidizer that kills cancer. Dr. Abram Hoffer (see his book) reports on using vitamin C to treat hundreds of cancer patients with great success. Reagan Houston, MS, PE.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Number One Book on Cancer 21 Jun 2007
By B. Duffy - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
If you buy only one book on cancer -- buy this book. If you want to understand cancer, so you can participate in your treatment -- read this book. If you are among the "hopeless" with only a few months to live -- buy this book.

Without a doubt, this book should be read by all Oncologists, their staff, patients and family members.

Steve Hickey and Hilary Roberts have performed a great service to mankind. Profoundly important.

I also recommend the other two books by this team.
