5.0 out of 5 stars Canada Coast to Coast 6 Sep 2009
By Mary E. McBride - Published on Amazon.com
We traveled from Vancouver, BC to the northern tip of Nova Scotia and this book was wonderful to have along. I could find things to look for and interesting places to stop. Since I was the navigator and my husband did the driving it was up to me to keep the trip exciting and to find places of interest to stop. This book made my job a whole lot easier and I recommend it to anyone taking the Trans-Canadian highway all the way across Canada. Leave plenty of time for Nova Scotia, it is beautiful. Practice your French for Quebec City and marvel at the architecture in Ottawa.
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent for driving the TCH or taking major city walking tours in Canada. 9 May 2012
By Travis Good - Published on Amazon.com
I found this book to be an excellent resource. As I drove the TCH from St. John's, Newfoundland to Victoria, BC (both with signs claiming to be "Mile 0" of the Trans-Canada Highway) this book was constantly being referenced. I was also able to take 12 of the 14 walking tours of Canada's largest cities which are nicely detailed in the book. "Canada: Coast to Coast" was very worthwhile travel companion and a book I can highly endorse if you're going to be driving all or part of the TCH.
