5.0 out of 5 stars Adorable and funny 25 May 2011
Format:Hardcover
I always loved books where you have to spot things in illustrations. This picture book is big and colourful, full of funny, quirky things to spot. Illustrations are adorable and text well written. Will bring a smile on parents face, and lots of fun to toddlers and children.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great story and lovely illustrations 24 Nov 2012
By Linda
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
The first time we read this book the whole family was gathered. We tried to see who could first spot Sassoon. It was far from easy to spot him but that in turn provided lots of giggles. The second time we read the book the children knew where Sassoon was hiding but it didn't matter since the story is so well written and so cleverly illustrated. There is so much to spot and discuss in the illustrations.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book for children of all ages 19 Dec 2011
Format:Hardcover
I am just about to order this book, as we've had it from the library for the last three weeks and my two boys, (just 2 and 5 and a half) adore it. My older son loves the story and my younger son, still after three weeks, is loving spotting Sassoon every night and saying 'There he is!'. It is beautifully illustrated and a really lovely story, I would recommend it to anyone with small children. I only hope Sam Usher writes more!

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun, but limited reread value 10 Mar 2014
Format:Paperback
My just-turned three year old enjoyed this book and spotting the snake on each page. The illustrations are quite fun. However, he did quickly learn the location of Sassoon on each page. I think children too much younger might have problems spotting the snake as he is quite well hidden on some pages! We got it out as a library book and it was good pick, but not sure I'd buy it as we've probably exhausted the fun to be got out of it - though I'd consider getting it as a birthday present for other children of a similiar age.

5.0 out of 5 stars Spot the sneaky snake. 30 Dec 2013
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
This was my toddler's favourite book to get out at the library over the last few months, he'd always go looking for it, so had to buy him his own version to keep. Vibrant, colourful illustrations, and my three-year old absolutely loves finding Sassoon (even though he knows where he is on each page, it's still a fab game to him). We get more out of the book as I stop on each page and ask him to find things other than Sassoon - can you see the mouse? The frog, etc. I wish they'd bring out a soft toy of Sassoon - my son would LOVE that! I'd go hiding him every day. Please make one! And a second Can You See Sassoon with new hiding places. Thank you!

5.0 out of 5 stars Can You See Sassoon 27 Dec 2013
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Bought this book for grandson number two who is four years old. Although we didn't have time to read it together on Christmas Day I had looked at it previously. It's a lovely book with super illustrations that offer lots to look at and discuss. I may even borrow it to share with my reception class.
