Book Description

17 Oct 2007
"Can We Start Again?" is a practical guide to the use of NLP in specific business contexts such as presentations, public speaking, and negotiation. It explains the "science" of NLP in layman's terms, supported with numerous examples and anecdotes, and provides an easy-to-use framework for development and implementation of the skills necessary to put NLP into practice. This book is supported by John Grinder, the official co-founder of NLP, and a major figure on the international business circuit.

I have no experience of NLP but read this book on a recommendation.

I'm thrilled that I took up the recommendation. It's easy to use exaggeration, but this book radically changed the way that I think about how I communicate.

I now understand people better, and they seem to understand me better too. As I run a business (technology consultancy), this has made a big difference to us all and was well worth a few hours' investment.

I'd strongly recommend it to anyone who wants to find out how they can genuinely get to 'win/win' situations in the conversations they have with their colleagues, bosses, customers....

I've given a copy to my colleagues in my company, which I guess shows how much I rate it.

p.s. loved the ranty review below - hilarious - horses for courses I guess.....however, certainly perfect for someone like me who is in business but not an NLP expert.

5.0 out of 5 stars A simple guide to NLP 7 July 2008
Format:Paperback
Daryll's book is a concise introduction to NLP. Unlike so many weighty NLP tomes, it encourages the reader to experience NLP in a refreshing easy to understand approach. His style of writing is fluid and you have a real sense of him being in the room and talking to you. A great NLP book that anyone can dip in and out of easily.

5.0 out of 5 stars An accessible book about NLP 25 Oct 2007
Format:Paperback
NLP is becoming convoluted and divisionalised with different schools of thought and teaching.

Can We Start Again is a no nonsense and easy to read book that misses out all the unnecessary jargon that NLPers often love to use and gets to the point with practical learnings for both beginners or as a refresher for 'experienced' NLPers.

And, if John Grinder approves, he writes the forward, you know it must be worth a read.
