We are all taught not to 'judge a book by it's cover', however the cover of 'I can make you Rich' does make a good impression! It is a solid hardback, but the outside of the pages have been covered in a gold colour paint to symbolise wealth. Clever, but it gets you thinking about the content of the words. Paul Mckenna throughout the book wants to help you become rich by changing your 'programming' so that you start thinking and acting like a rich person. Not by putting on a superficial act and pretending you are wealthy, but by changing your attitude to recognise that wealth can be yours. The book uses a variety of NLP techniques to change the way you think so that you have a much more positive attitude to money. It's cleverly written and the cd is quite relaxing. However it is important to make changes to more than just one area of your life. 'the Ultimate Guide to Cosmic Ordering' by Andronicou is similar in that it make you recognise that you have to change your thoughts to change your life, and the CD was inspirational in helping me launch my own graphic design business. London.) - See all my reviews Although I've never met him Paul Mckenna strikes me as a very good man. I remember his TV career as a stage hypnotist which was fun but he has said he found he wanted to do more in life. He found NLP. Neuro Linguistic Programming. This is a psychological school of belief that behavioural patterns can be changed. Mckenna has shown that NLP can be used to cure people of their phobias. think. People tend to have set ways they think about things. Through NLP Mckenna aims to change the way we think to break out of 'stagnant' ways of thinking. This is a great book that helps you to develop more positive ways of looking at money. I've been reading [the ULTIMATE GUIDE to Cosmic Ordering] since the start of the year which uses similar techniques. It has helped me to start chasing my dreams and I feel so positive now about things. Of course [I can Make you rich] is the icing on the cake because money makes 'the Journey' that much easier! In a strange co-incidence within a few weeks of starting this book I kept winning the lotto (seriously - 6 weeks on the trott!) However, the biggest change which I'm assuming the book helped with was the fact that in August, the company I was working for went into administration. This left me in a difficult position and didn't know what to do. However, after being offered a job I decided to start my own business. With no savings behind me to support my new venture - it was quite literally a moment whereby I had to get money in as quickly as possible. I started the business on the 19 August and by the end of August I had made over 9k in a few weeks. In September I did the same thing and October was my best month. I had initially set a yearly target of 50k and within 3 months I am only 2k short of this target. What does this have to do with the book I hear you say? The phrase "out of adversity comes diversity" - this applies to me. I had always wanted to run my own business and with the confidence and enlightenment that this book provides - quite frankly inspired me to setup my business. My favourite part of the book is identifying your 'Wealth Team'. A must read - but you also have to be motivated for it to work. Highly recommended.
