This is a very nice book that puts a cap on the Pete Lyons landmark books on Can Am, which he covered during that incredible era of racing. Its more of an art book, obviously, than his original efforts, but, Can Am cars are works of art now, rolling masterpieces in their own right. I might have included a few other Can Am cars, but the logistics in creating this book were not trivial. I saw one of the book shoots at Infineon Raceway, and it was done to the highest professional photography standards, basically monopolizing access to a priceless car for nearly an entire day, turning a paddock into a photo studio. Lyons is a world authority on the subject, and all of his books are must have, including this one.
I was not happy with Amazon's packing of this book, it was simply loose in the box, with no wrapping, and they had put an inventory sticker on the case, which was hard to get off. These are art books and should be wrapped in some manner, shipping expensive books the way they shipped the one I bought- idiotic!
