Product Description

Product Description

Donald Keith was born in East Ham in 1937. With the advent of the blitz and his father absent when serving in the Merchant Navy, young Donald and his family evacuated to live with relatives in Scotland. The motivation to recall the strange and often hilarious tales of his life as a schoolboy in the south Argyllshire town of Campbeltown began when he started writing a longhand version of his childhood memories in the 'Wee Toon'. Graduating to a computer the writing process became easier, and the sometimes weird and wonderful funny stories of a bygone way of life in a small Scottish community are based on the time from 1942 when Donald was five, until 1954 when his family moved to England. Donald Keith is a member of the award winning group Inkshed Writers.

Not a book of photos 13 Jan 2011
By Jinty
Format:Paperback
Thought this book was going to be photo scenes of Cambeltown but it's a story of the authors life in Scotland during WW2. Nice read, but short
