Legs are braced for added stability and there is a weight stabiliser hook at the bottom of the geared centre column. Maximum height 165cm. Minimum closed length 68cm. Weight 1820g. This is the second Camlink TPPRE27 Premium Photo/Video Tripod we have purchased because we were so pleased with the results of the first one. They are a good solid build with a professional feel and work very well with our cameras its just click on and click off. The levels also help when on non flat surfaces, hill sides or rocks etc. The carry handle makes photo shoots a dream to quickly move from one point to another, while the shoulder bag makes transporting the tripod complementary to all the other bags of kit needed on a shoot. It is very quick to setup with the easy click leg clamps. Finally the weight hook can be very easy when working in windy conditions.

I bought this tripod to video a couple of conferences. It's cheap, and very good value for money. It isn't a fully professional tripod by any means, but it's not bad. My main complaint is that the centre column is rather wobbly unless locked tight. Apart from that it's not bad - reasonably smooth in pan and tilt, reasonably light, reasonably sturdy, and generally pretty effective. It isn't the smoothest, lightest, or sturdiest, but, well it's often said that you get what you pay for. I think this one goes a bit better than that, and is, as I say, excellent value for money. If you're on a budget I doubt if you can buy a much better tripod at anything like as good a price as this.
Oh, and the locking plate fitted OK on my one. Maybe they've fixed it.

The tripod seems as of delivery a good product. I have recently purhcased a DSLR camera so am new to all acessories and attachments. The one thing negative i have to say about the item is that the plastic parts seem to be a bit rough. The edges are not very smooth. This to me is always a sign of poor quality (considering the normal price) however the plastic part is only small and does not impede use. This is just how i feel.
I would recommened this item to people. Feels like a very sturdy piece.
