I brought this on my camino trip in 2009.Its by far the best map of the route with easy to understand illustrations showing elevations,distances in great detail as well as the location of both private and public Albergues.Its lightweight and fits in your pocket.My advice is read as much as you can before you go and leave the heavy guide book at home- you will end up dumping it. This is more than adequate.The inside cover lays out the camino in a day to day planner and i stuck to this for most of my 32 days on the trail. lots of people i met on the walk admired the simplicity of this book and would as to borrow it when we met again in the evening so as to plan their next day.

This map book was ideal for my recent first camino. The maps are full of info much of which you only appreciate after a few days or weeks! The maps were mostly very accurate although the variably scales can be deceptive. Overall, it was exactly what I wanted and proved to be a fine and reliable companion on the hike.

It's useful, but don't buy it in addition to his complete book. Perhaps buy it as an alternative if you're not fussed about the history and accommodation information.
