Book Description

The town of Windubro (Seeds of Empire) has been established on the river Trent and is now a minor power in the land, with a small but effective army and a growing economy. It is also the only market in the Midlands of Britain.

News reached Gregory, the ruler of Windubro and Lucius his general, that Rome is casting covetous eyes on the island and has already made an abortive attempt to launch an invasion. As a consequence a new town Cantodunon was built further north and away from the area of Britain that it is thought the Romans would most easily conquer. The two towns and their army and industry have grown in three years and are continuing to extend their influence in the Midlands and the North. The druidic college have forecast an impressive future for this little empire and rename it Camelod based on an old tale and prophecy.
Meanwhile the old king of South Eastern Britain (Cunoval) has died and his sons Caradoc and Togidumnos struggle for suppremacy, a struggle that Caradoc is clearly winning.
Caradoc has always cast an envious eye towards Windubro and now is considering launching an attack.
