For a lover of camellias this is essential reading. From history to showing, selection and growing and everything in between it's all in this book. Written by an acknowledged international expert the text appeals to the amateur enthusiast and the horticulturist. It is without doubt currently one of the best references available. The illustrations are good; the A4 size book is well bound and weighs 1.6kg. If you have to choose only one book on camellias this should be the one. An ideal gift for anyone serious about camellias. I would not be without my copy.

Camellia Heaven 14 Jun 2010
Format:Hardcover
In trying to identify camellias in a garden we've just acquired, this wonderful book has been of great help. Indeed, I've always wanted a Camellia Reticulata, especially Captain Rawes; who, according to John Loudon, first brought this plant back to the UK in 1820. However, not being able to find any books in garden centres that covered this subject in detail, I found this book on Amazon and it is a worthwhile investment covering Camellias in their many forms in great detail, their cultivation, pest and disease problems and more importantly their suitability to various climes and cultural needs. Lovely colour plates that aid with identification but do lead into temptation ....
