One frustrating thing about being a Camel fan was the lack of any visual archive. Sure, we had snapshots from concerts, but no A to Z. This then, is indeed an answer to a prayer! It gives us the chance to see the very much missed Peter Bardens at his very best, which is a fitting Camel tribute to him. All credit to Andy Latimer and Susan Hoover at the very excellent Camel Productions for taking the initiative to start getting these Camels gems out of the archive and onto DVD. And a 'Part 2' - yes please!!

I have been a camel fan 1977 I have been waiting for this for so long it brought back some great concert memory`s, I always thought that camel never really had the recognition they deserved. But this dvd is camel`s best and a must for not just camel fans but any music fan.

Sometimes you get a DVD with a full concert, great sound and picture quality, and lots of bonus material. This is not the case with Camel's "Footage"-DVDs. The sound is pretty OK, while the picture quality is not to good... The songs are taken from 7 different tours, which is nice for some variation, but you don't get the same feeling of a concert as when you get one whole evening. It's interesting and confusing at the same time, with all the changing musicians in the band. When the 80 minutes of mixed, but at least chronological material is over, there's nothing more to dig into. I would also had prefered to had seen the more progressive material from the 90's, instead of having most of the last half of the DVD filled with 80's stuff.
