This book is a complete breath of fresh air as far as Cambridge International (CIE) A level chemistry students are concerned. It is the first book dedicated to the current syllabus since that syllabus was first examined in 2007. But the great thing is not just that it matches the syllabus - it is also extremely well written in a very student-friendly way.
Everything is clearly laid out and explained with simple sentence structures, in language which should be relatively easy to understand even for students whose first language isn't English. Any student who is capable of understanding CIE A level chemistry exam papers should have no difficulties with this book! The calculations are also done well.
There are questions embedded in each chapter with detailed answers in the back of the book. The end-of-chapter questions have full answers (including mark schemes) on the CD-ROM. The CD-ROM doesn't use any fancy software, and so can be easily accessed whichever operating system your computer uses - it certainly works fine on my Apple Mac.
Any student buying this book, having previously used the old textbook or the awful Applications Support Booklet, would find their life suddenly got a great deal easier.

I've been teaching the Cambridge International Examination A-Level certification for almost a year now, and wish I'd had this book as support material the day I started the course.
It's clearly laid out, accessible by English as second language learners (if handled correctly) and, most importantly, covers the entire syllabus in one handy volume (so you aren't going to end up rooting round in a bunch of different places to find the basic content).
In short, buy this book, you can't go far wrong with it if you're teaching the CIE A-Level Chemistry course.

It came right in the morning with great packaging and arrival before estimated date! No issues at all. I would highly recommend this to anyone who'd like to buy it, go nowhere else choose only Amazon!
