As an ESL English teacher in charge of purchases for our English teen library, I am always on the lookout for new exciting books for our teenagers (aged 13 to 18). English is not their native language, so sometimes the story of a book might get lost on them if they are not fluent enough in English to understand the entire book.
As a way for them to practice all their English skills, so that they can also ready interesting YA-fiction books, our department's policy is, amongst others, to test them with the Official Examination papers. In our opinion, they do the job adequately. Moreover, if our students decide to take the official exams, or to participate in any of the Common European Framework exams, these exam practice tests provide an excellent preparation.
This is certainly valid for this publication.
