Bought the paperback version with CD ROM. Received it promptly this morning. However, I was massively disappointed to find that the CD ROM is for Windows users only. This issue was raised by a reviewer in July 2009 on the 17th Edition. The product description for the 18th Edition is still not pointing out that the CD ROM is Windows only and useless for Mac users. This is a disappointment, given that the paperback version without CD ROM is £4 cheaper.

A very comprehensive dictionary that not only lists 'regular' words, but also contains entries for many contemporary names from all areas of interest.

The book has lot words with their pronunciations and I enjoyed it. Some of the words also convey their origin and makes it easy to understand variations as well.
