In common with Volume 3 (1939 - present), this volume (1860 - 1939) is very well-written, with chapter contributions from an eclectic mix of academics and researchers. I particularly enjoyed the chapter on 'Manufacturing and technological change'.
Very highly recommended for university Economics students or curious readers like myself. A joy to read.
