Here's the deal, taste-wise these are good, with the taste/consistency of a tootsie roll. You take 2 per day to attain 1200 mg of calcium and 800 IU of Vitamin D. Not bad! I previously used tums chewables to supplement my calcium and my doctor and a couple nurses had told me about caltrate chews. Here is the part I don't like, corn syrup and hydrogentated oil. I wish they could make these a bit more on the natural side and I would have given them a 5 star rating. I haven't yet decided if I will continue with these when I finish the pack or will look for a healthier alternative or go back to my previous supplement, but I definitely liked the taste and the fact that along with the calcium it also increased my "D".
Too much junk to make it taste good

I tried the Chocolate Truffle flavor of these chews.
They were easy to chew, even with my dental problems.
The calcium amount was great as well.
The problem? Look at the other ingredients.
There is just too much sugar and junk to bind it all together for me.
I'd rather chew a Tums Smoothie. They cost less and do more.
This is a piece of candy that has calcium in it. Not bad if that is what you want.
I can't argue that they don't taste good, because they do.
But seriously - lots of sugar, so a high glycemic punch - one that I can't
really handle.
Caltrate should be able to do a lot better for their customers.

I have tried calcuim supplements in all forms (tablets, chewable tablets, capsules, disk, and soft chews by other brands), but the Caltrate Soft Chews are absolutely the best that I have ever tried. I bought both flavors, and as I was unwrapping one I said to myself "here I go again". I was expecting a chalky taste, but to my surprise both flavors taste great!!
