We have owned the Calpol thermometer for about 3 years and have found it to be excellent, we have been through several packs of probe covers and never had a problem finding them until recently.
Calpol no longer market the thermometer or probe covers. However I telephoned their helpline and was told that the covers are still manufactured and available from another source but not under the Calpol brand. I don't want to risk this review being removed by Amazon because I directly mention another website so I'm afraid you'll have to do a bit of digging, although I'll try to give you as much help as I can. Search (using your favourite search engine) for "Microlife Digital Ear Thermometer Probe Covers" and if the result contains the word "Dolby", then bingo you have found them. I hope that helps.
The thermometer itself is sold on Amazon by Dolby Healthcare here: Microlife IR 1DE1 Infrared Ear Thermometer although the replacement probe covers don't appear to be (yet), hopefully someone will see sense and add them to the products available through Amazon.

Absolutely rubbish great theremometer but cannot purchase the probe covers from anywhere. Always out of stock and now don't know whether they will be available from Calpol anymore? Theremometer is useless without them as does not give correct reading. Be warned do not purchase Calpol ear theremometer at quite a big expense as they seem to no longer do the covers that are absolutely necessary to go with it. Like a car that you cannot get tyres for! RUBBISH!

Use these covers all the time. The thermometer is excellent and providing you use the covers will always give an accurate reading to put your mind at rest. You must ensure you fit them the right way round though otherwise they can split. Dont use without the covers as you will get a false high reading which can send a new parent into a panic , like me! You can find these new and boxed on that well know auction site that begins with an E.

I initially thought this thermometer was a good buy but have been everywhere looking for probe covers which seem to be unavailable even on line. It is useless without them.

It does what it says on the packaging
