Sorry...but if she wasn't Steve Harris' daughter noone would care. After suffering through her interminable shows at just about every Maiden gig in recent history - the album is actually even more dull.
I'm sure she's a nice girl - but that doesn't mean that it's worth listening to.

The opening track, Steal your Fire is by far the strongest on this first album. There are some other good tracks here but not all suit Lauren's style of singing, for example the cover of UFO's Natural Thing. UFO were a great band and there are plenty of other tracks that would suit her voice better but unfortunately this isn't one of them. This album is mainly a blend of pop-rock, whereas I was hoping for some heavier stuff. From here Lauren needs to decide which direction she's to go; is she going to pretend to be Avril Lavigne or put some real heavy rock out. The second album should be interesting.

I took a gamble on this but was a little disappointed. I was hoping for Avril Lavigne but got Pat Benatar. It is an average , passable American sounding album of driving music, from a more reserved British artist.
This little cutie from a good stable needs to down a bottle of Jack Daniels, before letting loose in the studio. It lacked fire generally, which was a pity. I felt at times, that the singer went of at a tangent from the melody. Some redeeming features including nice guitar work.
Overall, average but watch this space...
