Book Description

20 Jan 2011
What is the worst thing that could happen to you on Valentine's Day?

Getting stood up by your boyfriend?
Having to spend the evening alone?
Being drenched by an idiot driving a sportscar?

When all three happen to Juliet on the same night, she reckons her love life can't get any worse. But it's actually about to get a lot more complicated...

Because the identity of the driver of the sportscar is revealed to be her arch business rival. She knows she should stay away. Except it's not that easy. Handsome, sexy and utterly glamorous, Sykes is determined to sweep her off her feet and away from her boyfriend Will.

But is it worth risking everything for? Are they really destined to be star-crossed lovers? Or is Romeo actually a little closer to home?

Juliet is about to find out in Alexandra Potter's delightful romantic comedy about passion, truth and how the path to true love never did run smooth...

From the Back Cover

Juliet can't help wishing she had more romance in her life. She loves her boyfriend Will, but after living together for two and a half years, she's come to realise that thirtysomething monogamy isn't all it's cracked up to be. Will used to whisk her off to candlelit restaurants. Now his idea of a perfect evening is a video and vindaloo. He used to leave post-it notes saying 'I love you' on the bathroom mirror. Now the only things she finds are his dirty socks on the bathroom floor. So, when Juliet meets a sexy, dark-eyed Adonis from a rival London advertising agency she is sorely tempted. And when he invites her away for an illicit, no-expense-spared weekend in Verona it's almost impossible to resist. Her very own Romeo.

But does she want to risk losing Will and all they have shared together? Juliet must work out what's really important in life and whether romance really is all about sexy lingerie and red roses. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

5.0 out of 5 stars True Romance! 29 Jun 2003
Format:Paperback
'Calling Romeo' is a compelling, feel good romance. I bought it on a whim, not expecting a lot, read it in Greece and have been recommending it continuously since.
The lovable characters and realistic scenario mixed with a touch of fairy tale, result in a novel full of emotion and laughs. Alexandra Potter is a wonderful writer with the ability to capture her reader into the whirl-wind of Will and Jules.
I loved this book, and was disappointed to reach the end, although the story does conclude how it should and as a reader you are left feeling content. A must read for all romantics.

4.0 out of 5 stars A fun read 17 Oct 2002
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
This book is another 'take' on Romeo and Juliet, perhaps because the main character's name is Juliet! It's a sad, ultimately feel-good book about one woman finding out whether looks are everything, and what love is really about. It's a good read, if you like the feel-good 'chick-flick' of the literary world.

5.0 out of 5 stars Addictive, page - turner. 19 Oct 2009
Format:Paperback
Being the fact that I'm a 22yr old straight male, I didn't at first thought, imagine I'd be as interested in this sort of book when I first came across it in a villa in Majorca this summer. I gave it a shot however, and after barely having put it down for more than an hour in 2 days, I was finished.

This is a fun, interesting, compelling book that will always provide the reader with some aspect to which they can empathize. The two characters, Will and Juliette, really draw you in and make you desperate to continue reading to find out how their situation changes throughout the book.

Another great bit of writing by Alexandra Potter, definitely worth reading.
