At long last. This is the book that I have been searching for in all the years I have been a calligrapher. I know how to write, all I needed was an example of lots and lots of different alphabets to copy with the tiniest technical info and NOT pages and pages about tools and different things you can write on.This book has provided me with all that and more. It's an excellent price, caters for every script type I think any calligrapher would want and goes to number 1 in my calligraphy books.

I received this book today, and I was very disappointed. I bought it to find calligraphy styles to use for my wedding invitations, placecards and so on. Among 300 styles, there were almost noen I could use! The styles are almost too "creative", original, but not beautiful. In addition, the pages are crowded with text, in all kinds of different shapes and sizes, making the pages look like a bomb exploded. It's a mess, far to busy for the eye! The book has a calendar theme, and the author often use pretty alphabets in her text brackets. However, she does not signify which alphabet she's used, or where to find it in the book - so you'll have to look for them among the chaos of the pages! *aaaaargh* ... Lastly, many of the alphabets lack examples of all the letters, giving the reader nothing to compare their own attempts. I'll have to buy another calligraphy book to cater for my needs, as I'm soory to say that I'll have no use for this one :o(

This book has many examples of calligraphy alphabets, 366 in fact. It is suitable for beginners and more experienced calligraphers. An excellent resource.
