More About the Author

The day after Terry Ravenscroft threw in his mundane factory job to become a television comedy scriptwriter he was involved in a car accident which left him unable to turn his head. Since then he has never looked back.
Before they took him away he wrote scripts for Les Dawson, The Two Ronnies, Morecambe and Wise, Alas Smith and Jones, Not the Nine O'Clock News, Ken Dodd, Roy Hudd, and several others. He also wrote the award-winning BBC radio series Star Terk Two. He now writes humorous books, eighteen thus far with no signs of letting up. Three of them, Stairlift to Heaven, Dear Coca-Cola and Dear Air 2000 were in the top ten of the Kindle Best Sellers list at the same time.
Born in New Mills, Derbyshire, England in 1938, he still lives there with his wife Delma and his mistress Divine Bottom (in his dreams).

4.0 out of 5 stars Great fun 28 Aug. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
A most enjoyable story and even more so if you love Stan and Ollie.
However there is no need for the bad language - Stan & Ollie managed without and were not justified. That why I give it only four and not five stars.

4.0 out of 5 stars CALL ME A TAXI - TERRY RAVENSCROFT 14 Feb. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
My husband (and also myself) have read most of the Terry Ravenscroft books and even bought some for friends. They are extremely funny and I loved them myself. I got this on Kindle for hubby and he really enjoyed it up to almost the end, and then said it ended quite abruptly. That was his only gripe about this as Terry Ravenscroft is so funny, so that is the only reason I have given it four stars
