Product Description

Platform: Nintendo Wii | Edition: Standard Edition

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is the third installment in Infinity Ward's first person shooter franchise. The much anticipated CoD: MW3 will begin right after Modern Warfare 2 left off and players will get to control a Russian Federal Protective Services agent, SAS Operative, tank gunner, and AC-130 gunner as well as other characters from previous games. The game will have about 15 missions, starting with the invasion of Manhattan by a Russian force

Campaign

The player assumes the role of various characters during the single-player campaign, changing perspectives throughout the progression of the story, which, like its preceedors, is divided into three sets of missions called "Acts". Each mission in an act features a series of objectives that are displayed on the heads up display. Mission objectives vary in their requirements, ranging from having the player arrive at a particular checkpoint, to eliminating enemies in a specified location, to standing their ground against enemy squadrons, manning mini-guns and other weapons, and planting explosive charges on an enemy installation. Some of these objectives can be failed, and may or may not hinder progression of the story. The player is also accompanied by fellow soldiers who cannot be issued orders.

Cooperative

Modern Warfare 3 features a new mode, called Survival Mode. This game mode features one or two players fighting endless waves of enemies, with each wave becoming increasingly difficult. Despite being much compared to the World at War Nazi Zombies mode, enemies do not spawn at fixed locations like the zombies do; instead, they appear at tactical positions based on the current location of the player. The mode is available on all multiplayer maps in the game. Players earn cash for items such as weapons, upgrades, ammo, air/ground support and equipment. Special Ops also returns from Modern Warfare

4.0 out of 5 stars Better than expected?, 12 Nov 2011

This review is from: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (Wii) (Video Game)
Well its here and was it worth the wait?
In a nutshell from my viewpoint yes it was.
Wii as a whole has such a limited FPS library with such average graphics that it often makes you want to give up on the system.
Then they released COD Reflex and the world with an S Video cable got a lot brighter and more fun.
Just as things looked up they brought out the glitch full and largely disappointing Black Ops that allows more cheating than a Goverment controlled election campaign.
This then is a much more modernised and engaging game with a feel of the quality of gameplay found in Reflex.
Although only played on for a few hours I have got a good feel for the overall sense of the gaming experience offered.
The graphics and speed of play are far improved from Black Ops and although not up to the shiny HD standards of Xbox 360 and PS3 are better than previously offered on the Wii.
The story continues on from the end of Reflex and is easy to quickly pick up and follow. The AI is hard enough without being impossible and there are plenty new weapons to play with. I especially like the machinegun pistols that are very effective in multiplayer games. The perks and kill streaks area is also greatly improved and expanded. All in all this should lead to far more interesting and longer living on line gaming.
I have no doubt that Nintendo fully undertand the frustrations felt by users of their system when it comes to on line gaming and graphics and I admire the fact the both them and the game makers see fit to try and address this.
In creating COD MW3 they have gone part way towards this. As a money for value system Wii still gets my vote and no matter what other game systems users think I wholly enjoy the experience. Lets keep it going Nintendo and look at getting the standards of play on games like Battlefield to the Wii.

4.0 out of 5 stars My review on MW3 Wii, 11 Dec 2011
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (Wii) (Video Game)
If your serious about considering to buy MW3 or any Call of Duty game, I highly suggest starting off with Modern Warfare (The first). This is because the characters in-game are from previous generations of Call of duty (e.g. Captain price & Soap from Modern Warfare, Nikolai from Modern Warfare & Black Ops, etc.) But apart from that, the Game is VERY good. The controls to the game are simple and are the same throughout all of the Call of Duty editions. I would probably rate the graphic's at a 7-8 out of 10 because of the stiff competition with PS3 and Xbox, and sometimes lines appear randomly when the sprites clash because of the Wii's inability to hold high memory. The overall game is good, probably a 8-9 out of 10. The storyline continues from the Modern Warfare Series which is great because all Modern Warfares' stop on a Cliff Face, leaving you woundering what happens next. They added a new Game mode in MW3 instead of Zombies, they have Survival. Survival is when you fight waves of gun wielding Mercenarys', Bomb loaded Attack Dogs and Juggernauts (Heavily armoured machine gunners), all trying to kill you with their guns, blow you up and rip you to shreds. The Multi-Player is constantly being updated and they've improved the look of the lobbies and matches greatly. I found this game HIGHLY ADICTIVE. I can play MultiPlayer for 4 Hours easily enough, as leveling up unlocks you new wepons such as the MRG Sniper Rifle. (level 66) They've also added new weapons to the game and the Max Online Level goes to Level 80, Which is more of a challenge than Black ops and Modern Warfare
Ratings:
8-9/10 For Gameplay
7-8/10 For Graphics
9/10 Overall

Very good game. You should buy it.

5.0 out of 5 stars MW3 Wii, 19 Nov 2011
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (Wii) (Video Game)
I really enjoyed this game I like how it explains what happened in MW2 which was not released on the Wii. I also like the many different things you get to use like mini submarine things some robot thing and mini guns also the places this game takes you means you will never need to go on a holiday to see the sights of Paris or London. the only down side is the short story but the on-line more than makes up for this and as a bit of advice when you go on-line go on the grenadier class and use the pp90m1 as it is a beast of a gun.
