From the jungles of Vietnam to the snowy wastes of the Ural mountains, you and your team must operate behind enemy lines and using only the limited technology of the time. Luckily this includes air support such as the SR-71 Blackbird stealth plane, as well as deadly attack helicopters and armoured personnel carriers.
Like any Call of Duty game the multiplayer will set the standard for all other console games, with enhanced customisation tools, playable vehicles and a revamped scoring system.
- Retro Warfare: Call of Duty explodes the myths of the Cold War as you join a team of Black Ops soldiers caught up in the fight against communism in Vietnam and beyond.

I realy loved this game, I thought that after playing Modern Warfare 1 and 2 that nothing could beat it, but I was wrong. Ok maybe the graphics aren't as good as on PS3, XBOX 360 or PC and there isn't as much multiplayer killstreaks but the Wii controls are brilliant with the Wii Zapper! The last two missions where the best and it was very moving at the end. As in every single COD game the online gaming is great, they have completely changed it, now insted of earning XP points you earn money and there is a whole new gaming mode called wager matches. Call Of Duty wanted to bring back Zombie mode wich was a great success in World At War.

While Call of Duty Modern Warfare Reflex was an admirable attempt at recreating what made the Xbox360 version good, Black Ops blows that game out of the water. The graphics are crisp and clear, the sound is perfect and the music is breathtaking. This really is a roaring rollercoaster of a ride.
For once, you're getting the same experience as the high-definition consoles. That includes a compelling storyline about conspiracy theories and secret operations, a fantastic multiplayer with up to 10 players in a match and a cool zombies mode. This is the first time that zombies mode featured on the Wii so it's a real pleasure for me to play it.
Out of the box, there are a couple of bugs and glitches. Thankfully the vast majority of problems have been fixed thanks to patches. So my advice is to patch your game as soon as you can. Online play is really the meat and potatoes of the game. As such, there is no split-screen gameplay. The Classic Controller is supported for those who don't like motion controls.
This is the perfect first-person shooter for the Wii.

I have Black Ops for Wii and the pro rifle.. i agree with some reviews i've read where people struggle with the gun but i think if you're an adult of average build you'd be fine reaching the control stick & the trigger. The downside is that some controls for steady aim, tactical grenades, running etc are on the barrel but i get by quite well.
The game itself is great. Admittedly it is more 'cartoonised' than other consoles but it really doesn't matter. Once you're playing you get drawn in and the graphics are good. I prefer multiplayer to solo play and can happily spend a hour or two at a time playing one scenario after another with random players all over the world. The game sucks you in quickly and gets you thinking tactically and strategically. I'll have to get a mic and headset as very often you join a lobby and realise several people are chatting away as they play; talking tactics, winding each other up, having a laugh. I know there have been global connection faults with all consoles and i have had mine disrupted a couple of times & got booted out but it's fine 95% of the time & could well be down to my internet connection (& pc using some bandwidth with Norton doing large backups etc so may not be a fault with online mode in Black Ops at all)
I did find the campaigns hard at first in solo mode as it's not always clear how to get to the next level / checkpoint. Sometimes it's just a case of doing something very quickly otherwise you die.
I am now hooked and ordered COD World at War as i want more maps & missions.. love the COD series and will no doubt buy them all over time.. Black Ops was great place to start by all accounts!! I really want Modern Warefare too!!
